High-ranking EFF official and Member of Parliament, Commissar Mbuyiseni Ndlozi says the king of Belgium must be rejected by the people of South Africa altogether.
The Belgian King Philippe and Queen Mathilde are on a State Visit to South Africa from 22 – 27 March 2023 at the invitation of President Cyril Ramaphosa.
“This King Philippe and his wife must be rejected altogether with their visit in Mzansi. They are leaders of an institution that caused all problems of the Congo. They are relatives of the barbaric Leopold II, responsible for unspeakable genocides in Congo in the name of Belgium!” Ndlozi wrote on his twitter account.
Philippe is the eldest child of King Albert II and Queen Paola. He succeeded his father upon the latter’s abdication for health reasons on 21 July 2013.
Delivering his opening remarks during official talks at the Union Buildings in Tshwane, Ramaphosa told the Belgian Head of State that he remains most encouraged by his interest in South African developments, and by their common desire to deepen relations between the two countries.
Ramaphosa also emphasised that he believes much more can be done for the two countries’ bilateral relations to grow and expand.
