A Russian group of forces in Syria delivered over 2.5 tonnes of essential medication to hospitals, north-west of the country in Aleppo.
“The shipment includes antiseptics and disinfectants, hormonal preparations, blood transfusion systems, antibiotics, antipyretics, and analgaesics, as well as many other medications,” Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD) reported on Saturday.
The medical assistance was provided to the healthcare facilities where victims of the devastating earthquake are still receiving treatment at the Syrian Military Hospital and State University Hospital.
Syrian authorities stated that at least 5,840 people have been killed so far, following the earthquake disaster on 6 February.
