Deputy President of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), Mr. Floyd Shivambu says it is important for Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) to remain united in this critical juncture of South Africa’s political landscape.
The EFF leader was speaking to members of the media, on Tuesday, following his visit to the homestead of the late IFP founder and traditional Prime Minister of the Zulu Nation Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi, at KwaPhindangene Royal Residence, Ulundi, in KwaZulu-Natal.
Prince Buthelezi passed away peacefully in his sleep early on Saturday morning, at the age of 95.
“It is important for the IFP to remain united in this critical juncture of South Africa’s politics, because in 2024 there is going to be change of political leadership in South Africa and the IFP will play one of the important roles in how we get to reconstitute government that is not led by the African National Congress,” said Shivambu.
