The newly registered MK Party, formally known as uMkhonto weSizwe, has hit the ground running since the day former State President Jacob Zuma publicly endorsed it.
Its membership has been growing at an alarming rate with thousands of community members across the country having been busy organizing themselves, in support of uMkhonto weSizwe, even without knowing the officials or elected leadership of the MK Party.
On Monday, the MK Party invited South African citizens to join it on a mission to correct the mistakes of the past as the country gears up for the 2024 general elections.
“UMkhonto WeSizwe Party is not amongst options but the only solution. The only path to freedom. We are amending many parts of the CODESA agreements. All citizens are invited to be part of this historic chapter. Let’s unite and correct the past,” the MK Party wrote on its X social media platform.

“Our people have hope again, something they had been yearning for, for a long time. There is now renewed hope. People’s dreams are becoming valid again,” uMkhonto weSizwe maintained.
Furthermore, the MK Party announced that its website has registered 6.7 million visits so far.
“This has been the most active link since 16 December 2023. This figure includes site interactions and an est. of 800 online registrations per hour. We are still processing thousands of manual registrations,” the MK Party said.
