Parliamentary leaders of the Progressive Caucus on Thursday hosted a media briefing in Cape Town to officially launch their alliance ahead of the opening of Parliament.
The briefing was moderated by EFF Deputy President and Chief Whip, Floyd Shivambu.
Among other things, the caucus called upon every worker, every landless South African, every young person who has been denied opportunities, and every citizen still shackled by the chains of economic oppression to rise with them.
EFF President Julius Malema added that the Government of National Unity (GNU) will not last long, saying he gives it a year, two years the most, because the African National Congress (ANC) will remove President Cyril Ramaphosa when it goes to conference.
